Rotator cuff surgery can keep ballplayers out of action for months.
Stan and I are curious–do any of you have good stories tied to getting injuries while playing video games? Do share!
Nothing but your basic iced peppermint mochas + DDR = imitation heart palpitations…you?
Once played Wii Sports at a friends house. Because of the lack of room near the screen to swing and pitch in baseball, we had to pitch the ball and ‘Duck and cover’ before the room where your head should have been was needed by the pitcher (Yes its as funny as it sounds).
I managed to avoid getting concussed, but pulled my back during the ‘duck’ manoeuvre and had to forfeit the match…. and take painkillers.
Wow! Impressive, Binky — LOL! Anyone out there that can beat that?
Binky has me beat by a long shot. “gamer’s thumb” from playing too much Track & Field and Street Fighter II back in the day, has been my worst injury, so far.
carpal tunnel or big/thicker glasses. coke bottle glasses from straining too much.
Call of Duty 4 — sneaking up behind a sniper and got killed just before I could pull my knife… I reeled back in my chair and fell over backwards – hit my head pretty good =)
Hey, Lily! Fancy seeing you here! You never struck me as a video gamer… you have time?!
Trones — LOL! Good story!
Mo injuries for me, really. The worst I have probably done is spilled giant, full drinks all over myself, the furniture, the carpet, the keyboard, or all of the above.
No injuries for me, thankfully.
I know this sounds ridiculous, but one day some friends and I did some real shooting followed by a long session of Halo, and we ended up with weak, spastically twitching trigger-fingers.
