Here you have it, friends. The last SubCulture strip for at least the foreseeable future. This one is particularly special. Stan hand drew this one–something that he hasn’t done for about 300 strips. He also did watercolors for the highlights, and I think the quality speaks for itself. Virtually everyone who is a major character is in this, except Larry (who we might not argue as being ‘major’).
Stan and I both wanted to thank everyone from the bottom of our hearts for all of your support. We really love doing this comic, and there still are plenty of more tales to be told, should we ever decide to start things up again.
We also will keep our store open if you have a desire to purchase something, and we will continue to use this blog to let you know what we might be doing at any particular time.
So until then, so long, farewell, auf wiedersehen, good-bye!

Congratulations, guys! You’ve done a helluva job making interesting characters that are true to life. The comic shop life is fun and weird and sometimes unbelievable but great source material. I love you and can’t wait to see your new projects.
Our pleasure, and thanks for sticking with us, Amber. It’s been a labor of love, to be sure.
Thanks for your continued fandom, Amber! FYI, one of my future projects is already happening: http://www.squidworks.com/revvv
Thanks for an awesome ride Stan and Kevin! Subculture will always be listed as one of my personal favorites. ^_^
Mindy, it’s been great becoming friends with you over our common bond of geek. Thanks for embracing SubCulture the way you have and championing me the way that you guys do.
Ill miss you guys!
Thanks again for being one of our outspoken fans, Maryz!
Gonna miss this comic.
Thanks for the ride.
Genuinely our pleasure, Rachel!
Thanks for keeping it going as long as you did, guys. Always entertaining. These characters definitely left an impression on me, especially considering that after reading this several hours ago and strip 500 the other day, I’m still thinking how much more I like Jason with Sunshine! Good luck in the future, and I’ll still hold out hope for more SubCulture someday.
Well, I’m glad you are as passionate about your opinions of these characters as you are. Honestly, the last twist on this storyline had been driven by those of you who through the years had expressed an interest in getting Noel and Jason back together. So, where have we left it? Nowhere definite, but we know that Jason and Noel don’t just have a platonic interest in another, despite how hard Kevin drove them in that direction after the 4-issue comic book series.
Its been a lotta good fun, I hope the foreseeable future sees the strip running again for a while if you guys think of a story, but its at a good point regardless.
Keep drawing and writing you guys
Its been great reading Sub Culture. I’m very sad to see this strip go, but this last strip is a perfect way to end it. It captures that something special that had me hooked on Sub Culture since I first bought the comic book mini-series at the first CGS Super Show a few years back. Beautiful work guys.
Thanks for awesome ride.
