I’m really happy with how this particular strip turned out. On a related note, I wonder how I, or most “normal” people, for that much, would act if we were rich–money-to-burn style rich. It’s easy for me to say that I wouldn’t buy a house with 8 bathrooms, or drop $80,000 on a car, because heck, who REALLY needs that stuff.
But how much would it really change my lifestyle? I’d be curious to know how coming into gobs of money would change you, for better or for worse.

I see this, and all I can think of is the two old dudes from The Muppet Show!
It would change me for worse, Im lazy enough as it is.
like a kid around here, got his foot run over and got a 1.2 mill settlement. blew through it in about 2 years. his porsche just got repo’d yesterday. he still has his camaro, and 5 others.
but still lives at home with his folks…
My sister has at least 7 bathrooms and it’s very convenient…. I think the only thing I wouldn’t do with my mansion (after winning the Mega Millions) is all those high ceilings. Waste of space.
Tough call. You want to lie and say it won’t change you, but it will. Maybe for the better. Maybe for the worst. If I cam into obscene amounts of cash, I do have my priorities:
1) Set up perpetual annuity account with majority of cash and live off that – make sure wife is taken care of should I die before her.
2) Divvy up the rest of the money with relatives and friends. Enough so that when the fairweathers and unknown relatives show up from out of nowhere it’s all “Sorry! I just spent the last of it!”
3) Travel the world.
4) Become a full-time art student.
5) Get the hell out of Arizona.
So not a crazy list, but a list nonetheless.
I’d keep a two/one as I have now… but there would be LOTS of them around the world for me to visit! San Diego, Tampa, New York, Venice, Split, Hong Kong. Then I’d be looking into the places on other continents to purchase places to reside. Of course, I’d list them all for my friends to have a place to stay (for free) when ever they were in the area.
