Stan will be at the Cabin Fever Comics 1 year anniversary
August 26th, 2010 | by Kevin FreemanJoin Stan this Saturday, August 28th at Cabin Fever Comics for their 1 year anniversary celebration. Stan will be signing copies of the SubCulture books as well as copies of The Wang and 24 Hour Comics People 3: Rise of the Machines from 11 am – 2 pm. Cabin Fever Comics is located at 1450 Main St. #A, Longmont, CO 80501, 303-834-8183
Scroll down to “Vote for SubCulture” on the right-hand column and clickly-click on all of those things if you happen to be bored. Every vote moves us up the lists a little bit, which results in more hits, which results in more voting which results in…well, you get the idea!
…and boy, is it expensive! I’ve been away from the game since moving to North Carolina about six years ago. I decided to get back in and start fresh, having long ago sold my previous armies.
Fortunately I had a lot of free cash left over from San Diego, as well as quite a bit in my PayPal account from previous eBay sales, so the purchases were, for all practical purposes, using “house money.”
And there’s a decent 40k club about 40 minutes or so from here, so driving up once or twice a month to get a game in and mingle hasn’t been too much of a problem so far.
I am enjoying painting the models though. I’ve painted about 35 models and a couple of tanks in about 4 weeks. That ain’t too bad, although this productivity is definitely going to slow down now that school has started again. But I will chug on when I can.
I’ll post some pics if anyone is interested. Are there any other GW-heads out there in SubCulture land?

Sorry for the late notice, but if you’re in the Denver area, come down to the Lodo Tattered Cover from 10 am – 4 pm at 16th & Wazee for the Cowtown Comics Fest today. Stan will be there signing copies of the SubCulture books along with some of his other work at the Squid Works table, and he’ll have plenty of free givaways. Admission is FREE, so you got no reason not to go!
Poopsheet Foundation has followed up their review of our first trade with a nice writeup for our second trade–see it here!
Maybe this is a good time for those of you who haven’t read either of our books to pick them up in our store!
Here’s a link to a nice review of our first trade by Justin Giampaoli over at Poopsheet Foundation–enjoy!
You’re all reading this strip, so I guarantee you we are all SOMEWHERE on this diagram!
